Full Description

This GRAF Rainwater Harvesting Tank uses a header tank to control the water supply to indoor appliances such as WC and washing machine, and also to the outdoor tap. It is expected that the UK will have water shortages in the coming years, which makes rainwater harvesting a wise investment.

This tank is quick and simple to assemble, as it comes in two parts which are easy to secure together. The Carat XL Indirect range provides an extra large storage capacity, allowing you to make the most out of your rainwater. Once collected, it is sent to a header tank which is situated in the loft space of a property, which then feeds the rainwater via gravity to WCs, the washing machine and to the outdoor tap. If there is an insufficient amount of rainwater in the tank, the dual value will switch to use the mains water back-up supply to allow for constant access to water. The tank prioritises rainwater, meaning you'll make the most out of your rainwater supply all year round.

Applications:
- Watering outdoor plants
- Pressure washing
- Sprinkler systems
- WCs
- Washing laundry

In terms of quality of water, rainwater is the superior choice for washing clothes, as it's minerals will prevent a limescale build up in the washing machine, which can occur with mains water. Therefore, rainwater takes better care of your clothes and extends the lifespan of your appliance.

Both pedestrian and vehicle loading lids are available. This means you can install your tank where it is convenient.

What are the benefits of harvesting rainwater?

5. Harvesting rainwater can help communities to become more resilient in the face of climate change, droughts, and water scarcity.
