What is a bunded oil tank?
Bunded oil tanks are a cost effective and safe solution to oil or fuel storage for commercial, residential and agricultural properties. They provide a secondary containment area; ‘a tank within a tank’ to prevent spills and save the surrounding environment from contamination. If a leak does happen, the contents will be stored safely and securely in the outer tank until resolved.What are the benefits?
Longer WarrantyAlthough single skin tanks are significantly cheaper than bunded tanks, they also have much shorter warranties. Usually bunded tanks have a 10-year warranty whereas single skin have a 2-year warranty. The longer warranty gives you additional peace of mind, making a bunded tank a sensible choice.

During very cold weather, if there is water in your tank, it can freeze, resulting in blocked pipework to your heating appliances. In addition, a bunded tank gives protection against things like leaves, insects and spiders getting stuck and causing further blockages to the pipes leading to the boiler.
